Control & Safety Engineering
Batenburg Magion has years of experience in the field of control and safety systems within the process industry. We have knowledge employable from FEED phase up to commissioning and start-up of a plant/unit. This means that in the early phases of a project Batenburg Magion can write the control and safeguarding philosophies and as part of the production process design, can write the basic and/or detailed control & safeguarding narratives and cause & effect diagrams. With knowledge of both HAZOP and SIL (clasification and verification) methodology, it is ensured that the end result will comply with the current norms and your additional requirement regarding safety.
Control & Safety Implementation
Batenburg Magion has in-depth knowledge of the most common automated control and safety systems in the process industry. In other words: the engineers and consultants of Batenburg Magion work on the design and implementation of various process control systems on a daily basis. This holds for most of the common PLC, SCADA, DCS, EDS and Fire & Gas systems, supplied by the various system suppliers. A short indication of the several system suppliers for the different systems is listed below.
- PLC systems (Triconex , Modicon, Siemens, Allen Bradley, HIMA);
- SCADA systems (iFix, Citect, Wonderware, PVSS, WinCC);
- DCS (Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, Yokogawa, Invensys, Siemens);
- ESD systems (Honeywell FSC / SM, HIMA, Triconex);
- Fire & Gas systems (Honeywell FSC / SM, HIMA
Independent expertise
Batenburg Magion operates on an independent basis of any product or vendor. This enables us to provide an objective, fair and independent advice to our customers, based on the required functionality and the additional package of requirements.
Hire as desired
Batenburg Magion is often already involved in the concept phase of projects. From the system selection and basic design to the detailed design of the system, we cooperate with the end user. Batenburg Magion can further assist the customer with the implementation, testing and commissioning and start-up phase of the plant/unit.
We have several experienced control & safety engineers for each sector within the process industry (oil & gas, (petro)chemical, water world, food and pharmaceuticals). They all have a technical Bachelor or Master degree (such as chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics) with a specialization in process control engineering. Quality and safety of the work performed are our top priority.
